Terms of Service
Terms of Service
I offer professional plant care services, including but not limited to:
Watering: According to your specific instructions or my assessment of plant needs.
Misting/Humidity: As required by specific plant types.
Pest and Disease Check: Visual inspection for common pests or signs of disease. I will notify you of any issues observed.
Light Adjustment: Minor repositioning of plants for optimal light exposure, if safe and practical.
Basic Cleaning: Wiping leaves (if necessary and appropriate for the plant).
Repotting and Plant Rescue: As specifically requested and agreed upon in advance. This includes assessing the plant's condition, selecting appropriate pots/soil, and rehousing. While I use my expertise to revive plants, it's important to understand that sometimes, despite my best efforts, a plant may not survive.
Disposal of Deceased Plants: If a plant dies during my care, or is found to be beyond saving during a plant rescue service, I will responsibly dispose of the plant and its pot unless otherwise instructed.
My services do not typically include:
Major pruning or landscaping.
Pest or disease treatment using chemicals (unless specifically agreed upon and supplied by the client).
Any services beyond plant care (e.g., pet sitting, house cleaning, mail collection).
Booking: Services should be booked in advance. We recommend booking as early as possible, especially during peak holiday periods.
Consultation: A complimentary initial consultation may be required for new clients to assess plant needs, discuss access, and review specific instructions.
Quotes: All services will be quoted based on the number and type of plants, estimated time required, and any additional services requested.
Payment: I work on trust. An invoice will be sent out no more than 24h after the visit. Full payment is required within 2 days of invoice. I accept bank transfer or I can send a payment link.
Clients must provide reliable and secure access to their property for the duration of the service period. This includes keys, alarm codes, or specific entry instructions.
Keys will be kept secure and unlabelled, separate from client information. Keys will be returned by prior arrangement.
I could come and collect keys for a fee of £20 on a date and time previously agreed on.
I cannot be held responsible for any delays or missed visits due to access issues beyond my control.
Clients are responsible for:
Providing clear and accurate instructions regarding plant care, including watering schedules, light requirements, and any special needs.
Ensuring plants are in generally good health prior to our service. I am not responsible for pre-existing conditions or diseases.
Supplying necessary plant care items, such as suitable pots, fresh soil for repotting, and any specific fertilisers or pest control products you wish us to use.
Notifying us of any changes to plant care requirements or property access before a scheduled visit.
Ensuring a safe working environment.
Client Cancellation:
Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the scheduled service will not be charged.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours may incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the service fee.
My Cancellation: In the unlikely event that I need to cancel a service, I will provide as much notice as possible and offer a full refund or reschedule the service.
I will exercise reasonable care and diligence in performing my services. However, I cannot guarantee the survival or health of any plant, as many factors outside my control (e.g., pre-existing conditions, underlying diseases, environmental factors, extreme weather) can affect plant health.
I am not liable for any damage to your property unless directly caused by my negligence.
Clients are advised to have appropriate home insurance.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Plant Sitter against any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your breach of these terms and conditions.
I may occasionally take photos of plants during my service for internal records or for promotional purposes (e.g., social media, website). If you prefer that I do not photograph your plants, please inform me in writing. I will never disclose your personal information or address in any public photos.
All client information, including personal details and property access information, will be kept strictly confidential.
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and continued use of our services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
